About the practice

You can benefit from the tools of yoga without setting aside your faith.

The Body Praying is an ongoing series of sessions dedicated to cultivating discernment on the mat.Honoring both the traditional heritage of yoga and the living faith of Christians, each seventy-five-minute session weaves devotional study with guided movement and prayer.

You shouldn't have to wonder
whether a practice will feel safe and respectful to your body, your mind, your spirit, and your faith.
Here, you don't have to.

Hi〜 I'm Michael, and I am a follower of Jesus of Nazareth.By grace, I was introduced to the Gospel of Christ when I was very young, and it has shaped my life and my living. For me, it is clearly true that "in him all things hold together."Much later in life, I was introduced to the practice of yoga. I was fortunate—or by grace was led—to meet with exceptional teachers in a lineage of practice that acknowledges the distinction between classical yoga and the many faith traditions of India. The Body Praying is an offering from my study and my practice. I would like to share with you the beauty and the richness that is possible when we allow this discipline of the east to encounter the grace of Christ.
